From the solid foundation of interfaith understanding, our work has branched out to embrace broader activities that shape our common future. Today, our branches extend into social engagement, community building, and ecological stewardship, reflecting our belief that local actions have global impact.

Community Initiatives
Upcycle And Recycle
- Plastic bags recycling, collecting for Exxon Mobil read more in link

- Recycle your used bags and luggage for kids in the foster system.
Care Blankets
SIC has had several events where we have gathered to make fleece blankets for the homeless or for foster kids.

Interfaith Initiatives
Dialogue Meals
Every May we meet in various hosts’ homes to share a meal and facilitate meaningful dialogue.
Thanksgiving Service
Every year, on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, the community gathers for an interfaith Thanksgiving service at a house of worship to pray, sing, serve, and bask in an attitude of gratitude.
Interfaith Visits
Interfaith Visits could focus on the tours we arrange at various houses of worship in the greater Houston community.
Day of Peace
The international Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly. Two decades later, in 2001, the General Assembly unanimously voted to designate the day as a period of non-violence. Peace is not just a vision – it’s a call to action that each of us can answer by promoting understanding, respect, and justice in our daily lives.
